This recipe is so yummy and so easy! Some people say you need to cook the beans and make everything from scratch, but I say convenience! Open the cans, add the ingredients to make it yummy and bake it! Prep your ingredients and measure the dry ingredients and seasonings first… ready, set, go!
Preheat oven to 350 F.
First place your beans in the casserole you choose. Remember that this will most likely the serving dish too, so take this into consideration. Add onion, ketchup, garlic, and mustard to the casserole with the beans to add the zesty flavor. Stir well!
Now to add that bit of sweetness by adding the brown sugar and maple sugar! I love a bit of zest and sweet in any food… maybe more zest or heat than sweet! Stir all ingredients together well. Place casserole in preheated oven and bake for 30 – 40 minutes until beans are browned and bubbly.
